Eternal
Eternal Art Collective is a visual art collective built around original oil painting, created by Myles Reynolds and Blake Batson. It is supported by film, photography, and digital content that documents and expands on the creative process behind the work.
Alongside this, we also work with music, storytelling, and other creative forms. These are still developing, but they are an important part of how the collective explores ideas and grows.
At its core, Eternal is a visual art practice. Everything else exists to support, deepen, or communicate the work behind the paintings.
Myles reynolds
Myles Reynolds is a 23-year-old painter and musician based in Bristol. A graduate of Brighton School of Art, he makes mixed media paintings that deal in emotion. His work has been described as visceral, honest, and impossible to forget. He presents his paintings alongside his own original music, creating an experience that is greater than either alone.
"I have been painting and drawing since the age of three. I submitted my first work to Blue Peter at the age of 4 which they showed live on T.V. but I was considered too young to be awarded a badge. I have been an enthusiastic artist since then. My mother encouraged me to explore many avenues of art and design whilst my father nurtured my interest in photography. As I’ve matured, I have used all of these experiences and influences to help me develop my own style, something which I am still in the process of refining.
Sadly my mother passed away in November 2019 after suffering with bowel cancer for twelve months. It has not surprisingly taken me some time to come to terms with her loss. She gave me inspiration and was my biggest critic. I feel I am now ready however to take the next step in my career pathway. Although my mother is no longer with me physically, I know she will always be a part of me. It is my intention to live up to her memory."

Blake batson
For many years I have had a deep interest in film. It took me many years to understand why.
Over time, I realised that film, and art more broadly, isn't just entertainment. At its best, it offers a way of seeing people differently. It brings us into experiences beyond our own and reminds us that, despite our differences, we all carry fears, hopes, contradictions and struggles.
That curiosity has shaped the way I see both art and people. Rather than asking who someone is, I'm more interested in understanding how they became that person.
Film is just one of the many ways that has shaped my perspective, and it has influenced the way I create. It continues to deepen my appreciation for people, and that remains the primary reason why I create.
